Hubby and I are looking forward to Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Our Hoosier Women will be playing Rutgers on the home court! I will be taking my visiting friend Alicia who loves basketball with us too! She loves basketball. We love our Hoosier women and rooting them on. Hope to see you at the IU Assembly Hall at 7pm this Wednesday.
In a little over an hour Hubby and I will be "rootin' in" our Hoosier Women! At 7pm in Assembly Hall IU takes on Samford. I'll be in my usual spot: Behind the Bench!

This Thanksgiving week marks the last two home games for the IU Volleyball women. It has been such a fun season - thank you ladies and coaching staff! As usual IU Volleyball contributes to the community so in excellent Hoosier fashion, they sent out the below copied email: "Hoosier Nation – During our final two matches of the regular season – we encourage you to help us spread holiday cheer to the children of our community. Please help us by donating a new toy to the third annual: Holidays with the Hoosiers! During the past two seasons, we have collected nearly 200 toys for the kids of our community. Please help us again this year! By bringing in a toy to either match (or both J) this week – tickets are just $2.00! Don’t forget that our match with Michigan on Wednesday has a special start time of 6:00 p.m.! We hope to see you at University Gym this week! GO HOOSIERS!!" And yes Hubby and I have our toys ready for delivery. Be well and see you at the games.  So the first game Hubby and I got to see this season was against Chattanooga. I'm going to admit my heart stopped a few times the game was so exciting. I was very proud of our IU Women. Well done ladies! Also huzzah to the coaching staff and Head Coach Teri Moren. The team is looking good. :) Summer is not my favorite time of year. Too hot, too many allergy attacks, too much sunlight, and worst of all, no IU Women's Basketball.
*sigh* Today several of us from the Behind the Bench Bunch will be celebrating New Year's Eve by attending the IU Women's Basketball game tonight in Assembly Hall. At 7 pm IU will play Michigan State. We will be there to cheer. #GoIU #1milliu

On Friday, November 21st, Different Drummer Belly Dancers will perform at the half-time show of the IU Women's basketball game! We will "Light Up" the show and cheer on our Hoosier Women! Now I'll be honest: Those of us who follow and love IUWBB LOVED Coach Curt Miller. The 2014 IUWBB banquet was the biggest I had ever seen it. Three times the fans were at the banquet and the air crackled with excitement. It was thrilling we were all looking forward to the 2014-2015 season.
And then Coach Miller resigned. We don't know why, only that he said it was for family reasons. We can all respect that. Now we have a new coach and staff to welcome to IU: Coach Teri Moren. She has brought a happy staff with her and she and her people are looking forward to making their mark here at IU. Welcome Coach Moren!! Triple B are ready to cheer you on! Tonight IU Volleyball beat Michigan State. What a game!!! I am so proud of the team and Coach Dunbar-Kruzan and her staff. Way to go! Go Hoosiers! Our most excellent Water Polo team are making history again are Elite 8 in the NCAA. We have an amazing team and fan base for this sport. Huzzah ladies!
I have Stephen Keller, Dylan Anderson, and Drew Volz in my class this semester. When I asked them on Monday how they did in Texas they just shrugged and said "ok." Really? 'Cause this is what I read "Sophomores Stephen Keller and Dylan Anderson set top-10 marks in school history in the decathlon and junior Drew Volz tied for first in the pole vault on day two of the Texas Relays." I will also have to congratulate current K200 student Ari Nelson: Ari Nelson and Sophie Gutermuth set top-10 marks in IU school history on third day in Austin. She and past student Sophie Gutermuth did well! Ari, I expect you to sing your praises to me in class soon. Way to go, Hoosiers! This post is to salute one of my students this semester, Broolyn Snodgrass. It is always thrilling to see someone you know win. Like her sister swimmers, and all athletes I have had in my class, Brooklyn is a fine young person. I am so happy and blessed to teach her and her brother and sister IU athletes Thanks for contributing to IU, Brooklyn. I look forward to your future victories.

Hoosier Baseball Men Beat Ohio State Well done gentlemen!! You beat Ohio State in three games this weekend. Oh well done!!! Plus your 42 base knocks are the most in a series since Indiana accumulated 46 at Iowa late last March. Huzzah! Read more about it here: Hoosiers Roll In Series Sweep at Ohio State. Hoosiers Make a Clean Sweep of Michigan Rivals No. 14 Indiana and No. 17 Michigan battled it out on Saturday, March 29 with IU taking home the victory. Keep going, ladies! Hoosier Men 10th in NCAA Swimming Well done! A pair of second-place finishes and a third top-eight showing propelled the Indiana Men's Swimming and Diving team to a 10th-place finish at the 2014 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Austin, Texas. Very happy for you gentlemen! Hoosier W. Rowing Bring Home A Win Indiana Rowing opened the spring schedule with a sweep of Dayton and Duquesne. Well done team!!! Read more about it here: Indiana Rowing Sweeps Dayton, Duquesne. IUWBB - Elite 8 Our Hoosier Women ended their amazing season with Elite 8 status in the 2014 WNIT. Well done, women, well done!! We are all so very very proud of you and can't wait to celebrate you at your banquet and next year. After all, It's Miller's Time!!! Wow! I am at home now after watching and amazing victory by our #IUWBB. Wow! We won by one point at the end. This means the #IUWBB now move on to the rank of Elite 8! Huzzah Hoosier Women! And Huzzah to the great coaching staff! Huzzah also to the crowd. I am glad to see the crowds growing for the IUWBB and cheering for our Hoosier Women. It is all good. Triple B member Suzi W. made a poster saluting Coach Miller. "It's Miller's Time!" We all hope that the next game will be here in Bloomington on Saturday!
